Pro Football Hall of Fame running back and Dallas Cowboys legend Emmitt Smith can now add NASCAR Grand Marshal to his resume after he lead the fifth race of the 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs at No Limits, Texas.

That weekend Smith unveiled his partnership with former United States Navy Lieutenant Commander, Jesse Iwuji. Notable Live, co-founded by Smith, has signed on as a sponsor of the No. 99 B.J. McLeod Motorsports Chevrolet.

“To partner with Emmitt through Notable Live, a company he co-founded, and we’re partners in together, is a dream come true. I wore the number 22 playing football in middle school because of him. He’s done some much for the community and the state of Texas, so it’s an honor to be working with him on this program,“ said Iwuji.

Iwuji’s life has transcended more than motorsports. Not only is he a former Naval officer, he played football for the Navy Midshipmen for four years, showing in four bowl games during his time with the team. His love for racing started during his time at the Naval Academy when they traveled to Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina, prior to their appearance in the 2006 Meineke Car Care Bowl. He and some of his teammates rode around the track and the rest is history. Four years later, Iwuji raced in the Mojave Mile at speeds around 200 mph. From there he moved on to road racing in California then made a transition to stock cars.

Great things are ahead for Iwuji, including some possible live auction Events on Notable Live.
